Neverwhere is now one of my favorite books. While the novel is long, the material is not difficult to understand. Gaiman did a great job of keeping me entertained the entire time I read. This novel is a mystery, a thriller, a science fiction, and a drama all wrapped into one. It was also really cool to actually be able to find all of the places that the characters went on a map.
Even though I have never visited "London Below," nor have I ever literally become invisible, I could still relate to Richard. Richard was someone who lost his way; almost everyone can relate to this every once in a while. I also found it easy to relate to Door, who was young and a little naive. Door was a fighter. Even when all odds were against her, she pulled through. Most of the time she was put in life threatening situations, but she always managed to save her life and Richard's as well. Not only is the plot line brilliant, but the way Gaiman writes the novel is completely enticing.
